French Fry Breakfast Burrito
Recreating the breakfast burrito from the Nashville farmer’s market
I’m doing something a little different this week. Erica’s sister Marissa visited recently and we got on the topic of this amazing breakfast burrito from the Nashville farmer’s market and Erica mentioned how much she misses it. Marissa pointed out that it was not a terribly complex food item and that we could probably recreate it. That’s exactly what I did.
There won’t be a recipe at the bottom this week since the burrito place doesn’t have a website much less an online recipe, so you’ll have to rely on me just this once.
Ingredients:
1 tortilla
2 strips of bacon
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of whole milk
1 handful of french fries
shredded cheese
salsa
garlic salt, pepper, taco seasoning
1/4th of an avocado (optional)
hot sauce (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400.
Put your bacon in the oven for about 10 minutes until crispy
If you have an air fryer, I strongly recommend you throw the french fries in there for like 5-7 minutes on 400. If not, follow the instructions on the bag of frozen fries.
Crack your eggs in a bowl and whisk the whole milk into the eggs.
Pour your egg mixture into a pan on medium-low heat. season with your garlic salt, pepper, and taco seasoning. As it starts to solidify, push the outer edges of the mixture towards the middle of the pan. Continue doing this until it starts to look like scrambled eggs.
Add however much cheese your heart desires to your scrambled eggs and remove from heat.
Heat a tortilla on low heat until it becomes soft and pliable.
Add your scrambled eggs, bacon, french fries, and salsa to the center of your tortilla. If you want avocado slices and hot sauce add those too.
Have your fiancée who worked at Chipotle roll your burrito for you.
Annoyance Rating (1-10): 2
You basically just throw two things in the oven/air fryer and then make scrambled eggs. The hardest part of this recipe is rolling the burrito but that’s mostly because I always overfill my burritos.
Erica’s Review:
“DELICIOUS!! I love anything with French fries, but this breakfast burrito is an easy and tasty way to start the day”. She said it wasn’t as good as the place at the farmer’s market but it only hurt my feelings a little bit.
Recipe I ripped off:

The place is called “El Burrito”. You gotta give it up for the straightforward name. No games with that name.
Step 9 😉
